Sixteen years ago, I took a leap of faith, starting MC Repairs in my home garage. It wasn’t glamorous—just a small, cluttered space where I poured every ounce of energy into building a business that could stand the test of time. Today, I look back with pride at how far we’ve come, from those early days of determination to now operating in a state-of-the-art workshop, complete with modern offices and a fully stocked warehouse. This journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth every challenge and triumph along the way.
The Early Days
In 2009, armed with a deep understanding of repairs from my years as a technician and a commitment to excellence, I started MC Repairs Ltd. It was a one-person operation at first, with no guarantees and no safety nets. I took on every job I could find, from small repairs to emergency fixes, building trust with clients one service at a time. The garage wasn’t just my workspace; it was the foundation of my dreams. Little did I know it would grow into the industry leader it is today.
Highs and Lows: Weathering the Storms
Over the years, we’ve faced our fair share of highs and lows. The financial recession hit many businesses hard, this was our early days of setting up and we had to adapt quickly to survive. Later, the COVID-19 pandemic brought unprecedented challenges, forcing us to rethink how we operated. Each obstacle tested our resilience, but it also made us stronger. We innovated, streamlined processes, and stayed committed to our core values: quality, reliability, and customer service.

What started as a one-person operation has grown into a dedicated team of professionals. Today, we proudly employ four full-time technicians, two sales executives, a marketing executive, and business administration staff. Ongoing training is a cornerstone of our success. We work closely with all major manufacturers to stay ahead of industry advancements and have developed an in-house training program to ensure everyone is always up to date.
Supporting the Community
Giving back has always been important to us. Over the years, we’ve supported local charities and initiatives such as Clean the Beach, Save the Children, Macmillan cancer support and Brian House children’s hospice. These efforts reflect our commitment to making a positive impact beyond our business operations.
Lessons Learned
Running a business for 16 years has been a masterclass in perseverance and growth. I’ve learned countless lessons about how to operate efficiently, adapt to change, and most importantly, how to look after our staff. Creating a supportive and motivating environment is key to our continued success.

Looking ahead, our goals for the next five years are ambitious but achievable. We aim to reach net zero, expand our repair knowledge into digital dentistry, and continue providing 24-hour repairs. Maintaining top quality and increasing business remain at the heart of everything we do.
